Dr. Ricardo "Dicky Boncan (Secretary, Founding Member)

Dicky is a Dentist by profession so he knows what pain and suffering is all about... from the other end of it. A true blue Atenean he also doubles as the group's librarian and safeguards the modest collection of books the foundation has acquired over the years (about 1500 volumes). Need a church document or an article about the Catholic faith? Send him email and he'll find it for you. His wife Pia and their five children are very supportive of this work outside of his real work.
Ms. Rosario "Chit" Delfin (Treasurer, Founding Member)

Chit is, to quote an overused cliché, the only rose among the thorns. Indeed Chit adds the female touch to our meetings. She owns and operates Delphinium Enterprises which is the licensed distributor of audio and video material of St. Joseph's Communications in L.A.. Her invaluable apostolate has provided countless people access to Catholic resources that would otherwise be too prohibitive to purchase.
Mr. Tomas Borromeo (Founding Member)

A "dyed in the green wool" La Sallite and MAC fanatic, Tom is the de facto technical man of the group, having been involved in theatre lighting design, stage management and theatre consulting for almost three decades. He owns and manages TS-Com, a Theatre Communications System company. He and his wife Gina have a boy from whom Tom is virtually inseparable.
Mr. Gerry Castro (Founding Member)

This smooth and savvy marketing man is the group's optimist. Gerry's biggest challenge is how to "repackage" the Catholic faith and make it appealing to Catholics once again. His strong devotion to the Blessed Mother earned him the nickname "Mama's Boy"! His wife Merche and their two kids are very supportive of what he does even if he tests their limits often.
Mr. Ed "Chief" de Vera (Founding Member)

Ed has an encyclopedic mind when it comes to the Catholic faith. An Ecological consultant by trade, Ed is married to Bunny and has two boys. Though his profession takes him out of town often, he makes it a point to provide time for daily mass, Eucharistic adoration, and devotion to the blessed mother. 'Ed is a regular columnist in the Catholic publication KERYGMA and has written two books, Catholic Soul and Mysteries of Salvation (available also at Totus Bookstore. ;
Mr. Jose Maria "Digoy" Fernandez (Founding Member)

Digoy is a retired banker which logically makes him the finance officer of the group. His title as the group's "elder" is because he is the most senior member of Defensores. Wisdom with age is what characterizes Digoy and his sound advice on prudence, fortitude, and temperance has been indispensable in our day-to-day decisions. He is married to Angel and has two children. His blog site: http://blogs.inquirer.net/notjustforprofit
Mr. Stephen Ray

Steve Ray and his family converted from being evangelical protestants and became orthodox Roman Catholics. He runs an office cleaning company in Livonia, MI, USA, but is well-known for his active ministry work where he often shares how his research into Christianity led to his conversion. "Jesus did not leave us with an authoritative Book," Steve says. "He left us with an authoritative Church and later, through time, that Church gave us an authoritative Book [the Bible], but the Church came first."
